Questions & Answers

1. What is 58° Advanced EVA, and why does FitVille use it in their hiking shoes?

FitVille's 58° Advanced EVA is the secret sauce to conquering hikes pain-free! Perfect for those dealing with foot pain like plantar fasciitis, Morton's neuroma, or aching Achilles, this material strikes the ideal balance between soft and supportive. It's 15% lighter than regular EVA (thank you, fancy compression-molding), and with Dynamic Vulcanization, it absorbs shock like a champ while keeping your foot stable. Sitting at 58° on the Shore Hardness scale, it's not too firm, not too soft—just right for long, comfortable hikes. Say goodbye to foot pain and hello to all-day comfort!

2. Why did FitVille design the 4-point stability system for LugMax Hiking Shoes, and which foot conditions benefit most?

Podiatrists agree that proper foot alignment and stability are crucial for preventing strain on tendons, ligaments, and joints, especially during high-impact activities like hiking. This is especially important for hikers with conditions like plantar fasciitis, knee pain, lower back pain, Achilles tendonitis, metatarsalgia, and Morton's neuroma. These conditions benefit from stability systems that support proper gait by reducing excess foot movement, thereby preventing further strain and discomfort.

FitVille's 4-point stability system is designed precisely for this. The heel cups and firm heel counter secure the heel for improved gait correction and to prevent overpronation. The arch support and narrowed midfoot mold to your foot, evenly distributing pressure to relieve pain and strain. Additionally, the elevated midsole heel cup adds extra stability, unifying the shoe's structure to keep your heel steady, even on uneven terrain. This combination not only supports those with foot conditions but also makes long hikes more comfortable by stabilizing every step.

3. Do these hiking shoes accommodate custom insoles?

Absolutely! FitVille's hiking shoes are designed with flexibility in mind, allowing you to easily insert your own custom insoles for personalized support. The low-cut design makes swapping insoles a breeze, so you can tailor the fit to suit your needs.

But you might not even need to! Our shoes come with ArchCore insoles, known for their breathability, sweat absorption, and odor resistance. These insoles feature a U-shaped heel structure and a midfoot metatarsal pad to relieve pressure and discomfort, offering joint protection right out of the box. Plus, the thickened arch area provides gentle arch support, helping to keep your feet comfortable and supported on even the longest hikes.

So, whether you stick with our insoles or bring your own, you're guaranteed comfort and support every step of the way!

4. Is there a break-in time?

Barely! FitVille's hiking shoes are designed for comfort from the first step. The spongy padded collar, silky lining, and soft, breathable upper offer a snug, sock-like fit right away. With the toggle lace system and snug midfoot, you get a secure, custom fit, while the ArchCore insole and cushioned sole provide instant support and comfort. You're ready to go straight out of the box!

They fit

Most of my foot wear is Uk 15 extra wide . But I used the graph here measured and the size 14 extra wide 4 E , are a fit for me, slip on is great, slightly stiff to get my foot in at first , but after a week easy access to get the shoe on. Nice to let your toes spread , gives me better stability , insoles not to soft and spongy like some give good support, i have a damaged spine, and experience stability problems the wide heels on the se shoes are very sturdy and supportive, help me greatly i am heavy at 175kg , but again this foot wear is supportive and does not flex or let your ankle slip over, like with some softer types of shoe/boot. My first pair of these lug max i have in Khaki Tan, so impressed i have bought a Jet black pair too, and today as they are back in stock i have bought a Slate grey pair, and a pair of the
low-top Lugmax hiking shoes in brown/black V5, hoping the fit is the same as the low-top Lugmax outdoor slip-on V3.
Point to not even with thin cotton socks these are warm to wear.
