Pickleball vs Tennis
Pickleball is often considered as a smaller version of tennis. Both of these popular sports are highly similar but there are still some key differences in between.
Footwork & movements
Mobility is key to being competitive in tennis and pickleball, it’s all about the range of motion. Pickleball has a rule of “no volley inside kitchen area”, which demands additional lateral movements compared to tennis. Besides that, other court motions for both sports are largely identical, like split steps or back and forth movements.
Constant movements around the court could easily cause injury. Regular running has limited traction and stability the game demands.
